Pros
Good benefits, your union goes to bat for you. Scheduled raises. Ability to work independently, remote or in the office. It's a job you can feel good about doing.
Cons
Pay is not high enough for the amount of work. High caseloads, you may not feel valued by your superiors. Clients often have unrealistic expectations of what you can do for them. Burnout is high, there's high turnover and thus caseloads are constantly shifting. Rules are constantly changing and evolving and often make no sense.
