Pros

I absolutely loved my job, my manager, my coworkers and my customers. The job wasn't complicated and I enjoyed it. I loved my schedule and my PTO. The pay was fair for my area. The people at my branch were great people to work with and did what they could following corporate rules that hung over their heads.

Cons

The benefits are not great. PTO acquired every month was decent and the 401k and company match was fair but the health insurance was a joke for my coworkers that paid for it. But my main complaint is the cameras in the truck. They say it is all about our safety and not the bottom line or insurance. I find that to be a load of crap. Especially since the new change over to the new Motive AI camera. Absolutely no room for error or mistakes! Make one tiny mistake and you're fired. No warnings, no write ups, no probationary period just gone! Regardless if you were an excellent employee for 12 years with an incredible track record. Even if the incident recorded was an innocent mistake and resulted in no accident or damage to any vehicle or property or person none whatsoever, you will still be fired without any consideration. No consideration for circumstances or previous record of the employee. I hope this new AI generates so much turnover that they decide to rip them out of all the trucks. I hope the employees would protest them and refuse to work until it is only facing out of the truck or until a three strike rule is established. My boss listed me as rehirable and begged corporate to give me a second chance and they refused. I can try to come back after 6 months. I hope by then I'm on to bigger and better things and can tell them where to shove it. I hope their numbers continue to decline and other parts companies continue to swoop in on customers because their prices are so high. oh yeah and their computer system is in the stone age... This company doesn't care about the hard working owner operator and the money they have to spend to keep a truck running. Corporate greed at its finest!

Pros

Pay well for the field

Cons

Managers tell you one thing then do another. Will also force you into a position you weren’t hired and tell you there’s nothing you can do about it
