Pros

Management can always be better but overall not a bad company. They have pretty decent health insurance, maintained trucks, clean trucks, M-F work, holidays and weekends off. Sometimes there’s holiday or weekend work but all optional.

Cons

Be prepared to defend yourself. People do snitch on you for things they might even think you are doing when you are not. Management doesn’t do their part to investigate. They will be prepared to take action on you if you don’t argue back. If you are a new guy and working Chicago. You are suppose to have a 4 day work schedule but they will abuse you with the 5 days till you get a route which could be months to a year. They work you the full 14 hours. So get prepared to get home 8-10pm nightly even on a Friday I think the pay should be hourly because you do get screwed a bit on their pays by pickup and del.

Pros

N&M transfer is a good company. If you have a chance to work here then you should. The problem is if you are a non CDL driver is where the company is not good. They will fight you on hours, because they don’t want to give you any. They will criticize your pay sheet because they need a reason to figure out how to cut your hours. The whole goal is not to use the straight truck unless one of the CDL drivers doesn’t want to take the load. Don’t get me wrong i enjoyed the job. I wanted this to be my last job, but quickly i started to see past the shine and I didn’t like what i saw. If you are your young without bills and responsibilities or if you want to break into the trucking field this position is for you, but if you have bills and Responsibilities you will go broke working here. I just wish i would have known what i know now. The Non CDL position was a waste of my skills and time.

Cons

Communication, to me is the biggest con of this company. Management that doesn’t care and has a mindset that we can just plug another driver in that position without keeping the driver you have had another big con.
