Pros

- It's NASA - Most enthusiastic work environment I've experienced - Get to do incredible work that no one else is doing - It's NASA

Cons

- Extremely demoralizing to see projects produce terrific results and then get shelved because we don't have funding to complete them - Not really sure what their overarching goal is ... lunar gateway is weird and pointless, Orion is a giant paperweight, ISS is a giant anchor holding them down ... - Watching parade of Congressmen show up for photos, get re-elected, and then shut down the programs they posed with is infuriating - Some days you feel more like a museum curator than a development engineer - Watching SpaceX and others leap-frog past NASA in so many areas is also demoralizing
