Cons

Working at NASA can be a thrilling and rewarding experience, but there are also some downsides to consider. Some of the potential downsides of working at NASA include the high level of competition for jobs, long hours and tight deadlines, and a bureaucratic organizational structure that can make it difficult to get things done quickly. Additionally, some employees may find it challenging to maintain a work-life balance due to the demanding nature of the work, which can involve long periods of travel and time away from family and friends. Finally, NASA's budget is subject to political considerations, which can lead to funding cuts or changes in priorities that can impact job security and the overall direction of the organization.

Pros

You get to meet a few nice people and going onsite is cool 1 or 2 times.

Cons

I have never said this about a place but, AVOID. 0 training. Favoritism and an obvious hierarchy. Anyone above anyone treats them like gods so if you are the new person whew expect to be nit picked over everything until the new person comes in. (If that ever happens because come on, it’s the government. Like they are going to hire anyone to help) the only help they did hire was someone to take the staples out of documents for 3 weeks. Grossly understaffed so do not expect any training for the job you are hired for because everyone is so overwhelmed and overworked that there aren’t any updated SOP’s. So just goodluck and get your info from the dumping ground we call, “Teams” for any info even though it is all outdated. Oh and definite racism was experienced on a weekly basis. Never any positive feedback and they love to play the “Blame Game”
