Pros

Feel like you are part of something bigger that isn't purely profit driven Interesting work depending on where you are Space is cool Government benefits are good

Cons

Government work can be very tedious with lots of hoops to jump through Frustrating that significant program decisions are made from politics and outsiders rather than the people actually working on the program

Location in heart of Silicon Valley is great Weather is wonderful

Work is a bit dated Facilities in disrepair They are reliving the past 50 years ago. The newest thing is the shuttle which has not flown in 3 years
