Options for flexible schedules allow for you to make time for life outside of work. Workload is a lot but manageable allowing room for growth.

Cons

As with working with the federal government, there are always hurdles and hoops to jump through in order to get things done. Accountability is good but can be a challenge at times.

Good work life balance, lots of vacation and holidays.

Cons

Pay is decent but less than private side. Annual "bonuses" are tiny compared to private side. Promotions are almost non-existent, you must apply and interview for every new position you want. Every process in the government is SLOW.
