Depends on the Department - GMP a disaster

Pros

Perks - if you love basketball, you'll get close to the players, the merch, the games (tickets, all-star, playoffs). Also, if you come in Director / VP or above you get compensated reasonably well. Most of the people you work with are smart and polished.

Cons

Pay is horrible for Sr. Manager and below; work-life balance is a joke; it's not that no one cares about your professional growth (promotions, raises, chance to contribute on important accounts), but the hierarchy is set up for you to get left with false promises. If you think any of your colleagues really care about you, be wary

Pros

The NBA adds value to your resume and is an interesting experience. Health benefits, nice 401k.

Cons

- Very, very cheap organization -- some departments get new Macs, others are stuck with 1990s computer equipment. Forced to use your personal cell phone and field phone calls all hours of the day and night. Very poor merit raises and little perks (game tickets are heavily restricted and depending on your department, you're often working when you have the chance to go to a game). -Salary below industry standard - No upward mobility even with high performance (high performance is sneered at by incapable senior management) - Dinosaur company with grandfathered management. Highly archaic, unskilled, and undeserving of their positions. A good ol' boys club if there ever was one.
