Pros

The best reasons to work there are the opportunities to work on larger projects that would otherwise have been out of your reach. The pay is pretty good and the firm usually has get togethers involving food and drinks. If you shmooze with the right people, leveling up to more responsibilties is pretty easy. Most of administration is really nice and you usualy find yourself talking to them rather than working because its more interesting. The facilities are pretty modern, they just upgraded their office (10/07) to a new building and got a lot of new equipment. The facility is also located in a pretty respectable area.

Cons

Some of the downsides are longer hours, I was usually working 9am-7:30/8:00pm hour days. There would be people there longer than that, but I think they were just trying to get boring stuff done. Although much of the design is exciting, it is still very corporate. At some smaller more popular firms, you get a chance to do something revolutionary, while here it may be your first time doing a shopping mall, or a hospital, but they still follow the rules and do everything by the book in regards to the design process. Some employees are also difficult to deal with.

A no from me

Pros

A few genuine, hardworking people (mostly at the lower level who never get promoted), health insurance was ok.

Cons

Toxic culture and management, incompetent managers, profit > people, little to no flexibility, low pay, long hours, no empathy, no advocacy, no good. Spare yourself and look anywhere else for a job.

Pros

Talented and creative colleagues who are passionate about design. Opportunity to work on high-profile projects with global impact. Beautiful office space in a prime Seattle location.

Cons

Leadership lacks transparency and often seems out of touch with employee concerns. High turnover and burnout due to unrealistic expectations and lack of support.
