Pros

NBC employees are very professional, pleasant to work with and hard working. They treat their interns and fellows with respect; i learned a lot about the tv news business and they give a lot of support in furthering your career.

Cons

NBC has a very young staff in some areas; many of whom are new to the company and unfamiliar with how it works. I found the equipment to be lagging behind a little and the technology not as up-to-date as I anticipated.

Pros

Good to get your foot in the door in the TV industry if you have no other way. Sometimes there are interesting assignments.

Cons

Overworked, underpaid, and not respected. Management is awful, and you are forced to give studio tours, which is probably the most painful job at the company.

Pros

The people I worked with were incredibley helpful, friendly, and competent. As an intern I was given some very fun and interesting opportunities, not only in terms of work. I handled real projects and had real responsibilities. I was not in charge of bringing people coffee or other cliche intern tasks. I felt appreciated and respected at all times.

Cons

I don't know how much the internship goes toward helping you land a real job with the company. But otherwise, there were very few cons to my experience.
