Pros

The people are 95% of the reason staying at that company longer than a week is possible. Some of the kindest and easy going people I've ever encountered at a job. The benefits are also pretty good. Solid amount of time off and insurance is okay.

Cons

If you are working in any job not directly tied to some kind of tv production you are a second class citizen and will be treated with frequent disrespect and contempt. Security, Custodial, and Kitchen staff are all treated so poorly I honestly can't believe the keep staff. Entire sections of management in these teams are so inept and petty that getting any actual work done is nearly impossible while also navigating their egos. Any on air talent or associated employees are immune to consequence. I had numerous employees across all positions frequently treat me and my team with disrespect and was told by my manager to "suck it up and not let people control my day." There is also little to no upward mobility for anyone who hasn't interned as a page.

Pros

-Some very friendly people -Fun environment

Cons

-Unsupportive culture - was assigned to a project where budget was running out and the original project plan stated the project would require getting additional funding part way through to complete the project. I asked for additional funding with months of lead time and was told first to use all of the project budget before asking for more funding. Then after the budget was near zero when I followed up asking for more funding was asked why I had let my budget run out. I was scrutinized and questioned as though I didn't understand project management. -Tumultuous politics - Toxic politics between project execution team and PMO. Project execution team was messing up elements of the project. By merely having to point this out to everyone I was questioned and attacked by the execution team and my management. I couldn't ensure the project executed successfully nor get support reporting the issues that needed to be changed. -More politics - depending on the area of the company I worked with as my project crossed over many, some teams I had to coordinate with were passive aggressive and ultimately it turned out dishonest about elements of the project I'd then have to find out and become the messenger who got shot for doing so.

Pros

Some benefits are good- decent health insurance

Cons

Pay is low, even within the same industry it’s one of the lowest. Growth opportunities are minimal, you need to have a boss that will advocate for you. Seems like this company only cares about their own reputation instead of their employees’ well being
