      Pros

      I work on the mortgage side of NBH Bank. The office is casual and we often times have potlucks, catered lunches for special occasions, birthday cakes, etc. There's a lot of flexibility with our schedules which is nice. I've been in a few different roles and feel I have continued to grow and learn which has led to job security. Pay and benefits have gotten better since being acquired by NBH.

      Cons

      While most of the staff are pretty friendly, the NBH policy of "no jerks" is not adhered to. There are definitely bad apples that management ignores, even though they are aware. Like any job there are definitely office politics and drama that can be draining. Communication throughout the company is lacking. Workload is also inconsistent. I either feel like I have nothing to do or I feel like I'm drowning. There's really no in between
