      Was great, until it wasn't

      Pros

      My time at NCC started off strong but quickly went downhill after the new CEO, and after the subsequent layoffs throughout 2023. There is potential to grow but you have to advocate for yourself and stay on top of your manager to make it happen. The only pro I can really think of is the benefits are top notch.

      Cons

      They want you to do a lot of busy work; they ask you to run at 100 mph, want things yesterday, and then the company pumps the breaks. There is a major lack of communication, or consistency with the communication. The commitment to diversity and inclusion is very surface level. They talk a big talk but there's no buy in from management; there are racial and gender bias left and right that they like to pretend doesn't happen.

We’re not always able to shout about the work we do in these areas as we need to be sensitive to those involved.

      Could be a great place to work

      Pros

      Exposure to different tools and services. Brilliant senior staff that offer support. Work from home.

      Cons

      Lack of training. Fair requests often denied. Lack of certification and training opportunities. High staff turnover due to not valuing ground staff properly. High variation of quality.

      Business has been bad lately but Data team is doing great

      Pros

      In the recent times, there have a lot of layoffs in NCC's Professional Services department which is their bread and butter being a Cyber Security Consultant Firm. Data team have been fortunate to say the least. The business outlook appears to be recovering. Standard perks I'd say including electric car scheme using salary sacrifice, perkbox, sponsored travel to-and-from London/Manchester and hotel stay.

      Cons

      No Private Healthcare at this seniority level which is weird. No Home Office Setup cover.
