Pros

You might work with great professionals. Time to time, you might end up working on an interesting project.

Cons

The CEO is not reliable from my point of view. The company is falling apart slowly and constantly. The company seems to be focused on simply selling projects, reducing workforce costs (layoffs and offshoring ), and increasing short-term profits. The quality of work, innovation, and caring for its employees appear to be sidelined. Constant uncertainty. You might be considered as a redundant consultant and be fired no matter how good your performance has been or how much effort you have put. Nobody could feel 100% safe.

Pros

- Got to work with some of the smartest people I've ever met. - Project managers are very professional and helpful, will go to bat for you with unreasonable clients.

Cons

- Upper leadership is clueless. Keep saying that they want to focus on making clients happy, but keep laying off consultants who are in the middle of projects for BIG name clients. - CEO is very unprofessional and can't take criticism. When receiving negative feedback about a lack of raises for the year, he said we were being childish and made a bizarre threat about how IBM would buy the company if it didn't thrive. - Leadership are liars. After the first round of layoffs in Feb 2023, they promised it was a "one and done" thing, "no round 2" they said. Round 2 just happened here in August 2023, and this time they got rid of some of THE BEST people they had. - Bonus scheme encourages burn out. Your bonus is based on utilization, with 100% util (working on projects literally every day) yields the highest bonus. Anything less penalizes you, and you have no control over your schedule.

Pros

Some amazing co-workers Initially very varied work

Cons

Mysoginist management Told to break laws to get the job done Delivered a report on time, working late into the night for it to be ready by 0900, delivered at 0200, wasn't read for over a week. Physically and mentally endangered There is not OSHA or H&S Either no guidance or micro managed Forced to have my screen activity monitored while others were allowed to play video games all day If you are not in the in-crowd you are picked on and have to do more work than is possible, hence 18 hour data are a routine without any compensation
