Most of the decisions came from one person, little collaboration or consideration of employees' opinion. Resource is very tight with the unrealistic objectives set, and workload is very heavy, long work hours. And the heavy workload is constant without any break from time to time. Heavily depend on transactional business for commoditize product and technology. with thin margin, the overall benefits and resources are very low. Some units are quite political among different teams. Even with flat organization, there is heavy process involved and things can't move fast even for very simple things. Company doesn't put much focus on work-life balance by offering the necessary employee program to offset the load and stress.

If I had to say one, it would be some employees take a while to adapt to an environment where you take ownership of an entire product or project and they are used to compartmentalized structure, only work in a specific area over and over again. At Netgear, you will find you exposure broadened and if your not ready for that, it could be too much. However, the management and leadership is prepared to equip the team for success and the supporting cast is designed to ensure success, support and stability.

Management's indifference towards India Engineering center, Pathetic Infrastructure, Equally pathetic HR/Admin team in Bangalore, Lack of recognition for efforts put in, No promising work, No innovation, Lame excuses from the Management for many things, No future for WLAN here, Big time cultural difference

Unsustainable amount of work, too much politics

It's a tough business, with low margins so company runs very lean They thrive on being thrifty, and this mentally gets old after a while. work life balance is out of whack for most; not in all groups. biggest problem is "it's never enough.: Regardless if you produce 100% of what you were asked, the attitude is but where's the 110%? This style doesn't motivate because you can't win.

Netgear Culture says no to Sports, Team Outing and Fun at work. People sitting in China makes policies for Bangalore India with no input from Indian Local agencies. Repetetive work and no appreciation of the limitless time you give in to your work. HR and Admin team in Bangalore are of no use either and huge attrition at Netgear Bangalore means the work culture is going from bad to worse. Netgear Management in US as well don't care for Netgear Bangalore. They keep promising the changes that they will bring in but nothing ever happens here or even if it happens, it is so late that it is nearly ineffective since people have already left the Compnay by then.
