Hard to work for

Pros

lunch breaks, benefits, the usual. They also have a nice break area. The view is great. If anything, this made working for the company tolerable.

Cons

The employees know nothing about their game, and purposefully neglect the playerbase. This is terrible practice, and I truly hope that they rectify it in the future. Most of the time, the employees run around in confusion. Especially during regular game maintenance. It is truly pathetic and I am glad to have escaped their clutches.

Road to Nowhere

Pros

- Open Work Environment - A few passionate people still there (despite everything)

Cons

- No company benefits (used to have tons; all taken away) - Culture of apathy & fear - Protectionist Management A few years ago this was a great company to work for. There were free lunches twice a week, company parties 2-3x a year, annual pay raises and bonuses, etc. But for the past 2 years that's all been gone. No one has gotten a pay raise or a bonus despite the CEO's assurances they'll come "soon." If you're lucky to be salaried you get medical benefits, but work 12 hr days on average. There are contract employees who were promised to be made full-time after 6 months, but are still contract 2 years later. There's no incentive to work hard because there're no benefits period. This has led to a company culture of apathy. The management misguidedly tries to encourage productivity through worthless awards (The Golden Fork?!) while the employees keep asking again & again, "Where's my raise? Where're my benefits?" Everyone has their eye on the door. Everyone is looking at other companies to work. No one wants to work hard because they'll just be given more work with no reward for doing well.

Pros

Basketball court Great, talented people, personal friendships and networking opportunities Safe neighborhood

Cons

Poor wages (do your homework when applying, there ARE companies that will pay you fair market value) Fail executive staff (aimless vision, no transparency, don't know what to do with the talent) Failing company (all the top talent has already escaped this sinking ship, while the remaining talent are avidly looking for new opportunities elsewhere). I've got a hunch the Nexon America office will be closed by Big Daddy Korea/Japan so they can focus on the asian market.
