You're right, we are putting in Leadership Development Programs and should see a marked improvement. Finding balance throughout the year in all phases of our lives is something we strive for and support at NFP. We rely on each of our team members to exceed expectations for our clients. Through our PeopleFirst Development Programs we are working to provide leadership and management training, as well as tools our employees can use to take control of their careers. Employees can learn more by going to the PeopleFirst Portal or emailing pfpadmin@nfp.com. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Go private transaction under relatively new CEO has created lots of change and growth opportunity. The company is actively working to align office across the country into one lean, mean consulting machine and this is creating significant mobility for employees both upward or into new offices or fields. Senior leadership is pretty accessible and transparent. Core values and culture are also evolving positively and are being well communicated. Brand recognition continues to be a challenge, but there appears to be an effort underway to change that. The ability for the company to grow rapidly seems dependent on growing awareness of who we are, what we do and what our strengths are. Most of the long tenured employees that are highly engaged seem very satisfied and happy to see the changes taking place. They recognize opportunities and have an eye to the future.

Cons

Some people can't handle the pace of change and are opting out, creating significant employee turnover. And with new people joining at all levels, there are sometimes unclear expectations of what should be the focus at the individual, team or corporate level. This especially seems to be true of new management who often join from bigger, more mature organizations where resources, both human and otherwise, weren't as lean. People are hired to "get things done", but the downstream impacts aren't well considered.
