Worked for NIBCO for many years.

Pros

Worked for NIBCO when Rex was still in charge and the company was a good place to work. Employees enjoyed coming to work, felt like efforts were appreciated and compensated. There was camaraderie and team work. Fear of doing the wrong thing or getting on someone's 'list' were not an issue.

Cons

Rex has become just a figurehead and is no longer in charge.

No Security. No Advancement. No Community.

Pros

Wellness. They want healthy associates so health care spending stays low. Profitability. They make money but it doesn't make it back to us. Senior Leadership. They work hard to point us in the right direction.

Cons

Folks are fired without warning and for no good reason. Most positions are underpaid and overworked. There are many good people who work here. We are all hoping this once-great company will wake up and see how afraid and stressed we are. HR is to blame.

Concern for position

Pros

the corporate office has all sorts of little perks, lunches, small acknowledgements for projects, tons of products to learn and postings for open internal positions

Cons

the interview process for internal positions is ridiculously long and most of the time you get the impression of who is intended for the position before interviewing. the process is just a formality. if you interview for several positions you look desperate rather than interested in progress for your career. I just received a 2% increase which isn't even cost of living after not having an increase for SEVERAL years. you can't mention this concern to HR or anyone in mgmt. because you get put on the "list"
