What a nightmare

Pros

Solid company. Good reputation OUTSIDE the company. Some room for advancement. Good benefits - not great but good.

Cons

It's got a heavy atmosphere to it. Everyone keeps their heads down and eyes averted. It is eerily quiet because no one wants to be noticed. Any social interaction between employees is frowned upon - I mean folks didn't even say "good morning" to each other. The place is definitely lacking enthusiasm and joy. I don't believe in a party atmosphere in a business or folks overly socializing but teamwork starts with caring for each other and that is definitely forbidden at NIBCO. I left because it was like going to a funeral every day.

good steady work.....it is a job, and there are lots of people that don't have that at the moment.

Cons

the chinese fire drill approach to organization. the lack of interdepartmental communication. the people who make the choices and decisions are often unaware of other options and choices.
