Pros

Awesome health insurance, great place to work and get training as a postdoc, world-class scientists and access to many meetings and classes, great state to the art equipments, there's no need to write grants (could be bad I guess), awesome work/life balance (depends on your boss of course), 8-weeks paid maternity leave, great support for working moms

Cons

No training in writing grants, terrible commute,

Pros

Principle investigators don't have to worry about grants, which takes some of the pressure off. Large campus filled with people doing biomedical research.

Cons

Sometimes it feels like standards in the intramural program aren't quite as high as at universities.
