Pros

Free Bagels and sometimes snacks, most people are friendly and kind,

Cons

abysmal raises, little to no training for other departments despite it being a major part of your supervisors job, your department can be deleted over night with very little notice, very little recognition or advancement, employee retention is an on going problem do the many reasons other then what is stated here, highest I have seen is 20%.

Micromanagement in some areas. If you are looking to really use your skills to make improvements and take control of your own career path, this may not be the right path for you.

In some departments people are treated as positions, not as people. Management is not transparent. Lack of diversity is an issue
