Good Place to Learn

Pros

A good place to learn how to work in a lab setting. Once you get the hang of the job it isn't too difficult. While it's shift work management tends to be flexible. Opportunity for horizontal movement between departments to learn more if you start to get burnt out. Good place to work getting out of school or you're deeply interested in the forensic toxicology field.

Cons

The learning curve to get comfortable in your work can take a while. Once you get comfortable the work can get boring. Expect shift work. Not much vertical movement. After a year or 2 people tend to get burnt out there.

Love the company

Pros

Friendly environment Attentive to your needs Thorough training Lots of communication Opportunities for overtime Bonus payouts Tuition reimbursement

Cons

Wages are lower than other companies Not enough staff, trying to hire more which adds some strain to current employees trying to train and perform normal duties at the same time. Growth depends on how verbal you are- If you're not constantly asking about it, extra training for further career development is not prioritized
