A good Consulting Company,

Pros

If you work directly for a client, you have full autonomy and accountability. You are trusted from the beginning and free to perform your job the way you see fit.

Cons

Poor tools and hardware availability. You don't get to choose the computer that's given to you, and more often than not you'll receive a used (and bruised) laptop to work with. Your sense of belonging greatly depends on the manager that's attributed to you.
