Pros
It's a stepping stone for further experiencethat can be useful in later positions. Since NRG has several plant in the US market there could be a variarity of oppertunites for a person that will move to differrent locations in the country.
Cons
Management in the remote areas are not supported by senior managment. Senior managment will blame any manager in remote location without any reseason other than it must be the remote managment fault. When a remote location need support and help this is not likely to take place - blame is an easier way for senior managment. This lack of support will generate mistrust amoung remote managment.
