Pros
Much better pay, treatment, and benefits compared to the two other contract agencies that the Commonwealth worked with in Frankfort. Year end bonus. Mgmt checked in with me on a regular basis. They were flexible when I needed extra time off. Generous training allowance.
Cons
The same as for any agency. You're still a contractor. If the Commonwealth isn't willing to raise their rate, you're not going to get a raise. There wasn't much personnel development, but there wasn't any for the regular employees, either. It's not part of the government culture in Frankfort.
