Base compensation is not terrible

Cons

Systems and processes create double and triple work with no benefit; simple tasks are made tedious for no reason. Too much emphasis on checking boxes and not enough on making work flow smoothly. I’ve never witnessed this level of gotcha micromanagement in all of my career which has included Fortune 500 companies. NVR seems to embrace uniformity and obedience over any kind of brain power. Anyone thinking of working here would be best served by checking their brain at the door and just check the boxes. Also, benefits are just the bare minimum.

Culture is very rigid. You will need to bend over backwards to appease people. Most of the employees have been around for decades so it has a cult like atmosphere where internal politics trumps the work efforts. Not a lot of room for growth. Other than pay the company won’t spend much on you.
