      The pay is definitely good. Opportunity is there to advance and it's encouraged. Overall good working environment. Great people to work with.

      Overall communications could use some improvement. Sometimes the information you need to perform your job is slow in arriving and so are parts.

      After 25+ years of service the involuntary severance package is good.

      The semiconductor industry is currently experiencing a lot of consolidation with much M&A. NXP Semiconductors is a prime example having undergone a merger last with Freescale Semiconductor in 2016 and pending acquisition by Qualcomm, which is a fabless company.
