After my years of employment here, may this serve as a warning: The toxicity and verbally abusive behavior and Wagner's Chief of Staff is only topped by the incompetence of Dean Sherry Glied, whose "leadership" has driven the school into the ground with finances in ruin, a skeletal staff, and a faculty who all despise Dean Glied but are too beaten down by a decade of chaos to speak up. Wagner's "strategy" is whatever four random topics happen to be on Dean Glied's scattered, out-of-touch mind that week. It's shocking that NYU central hasn't ousted Glied for her incompetence, financial mismanagement, and the degradation of this institution. The culture at NYU Wagner is not just unsupportive—it’s harmful. Leadership has created an environment of fear and blame. NYU should be ashamed to allow such behavior to continue unchecked. I hope this review serves as a warning to anyone considering employment at Wagner: stay away for the sake of your mental and emotional well-being, and frankly, your career.
