Cons

This is one of the worst company in my career which spans around 10 years. In nagarro challenges means spending 13-14 hours in office, coming in weekends and do whatever to full-fill unrealistic deadlines . Here agility means doing 200 days work in 100 days. Most of the firms spend two-three months in designing framework to cater complex project but here framework is given least importance. Home grown managers does not have experience in managing big and complex project. No respect for senior professionals. They are being humiliated . Some 3-4 years experience guys will monitor their work . Managements always look for quick fix rather then permanent solution. There is one director who loves to see the project in distress,it gives him opportunity to showcase his talent in dousing the fire and become hero. But he is the one who is responsible for all mess up but no one cares since nagarro have fire-fighters. Forget about mentors-hip they will make you feel that you are good for nothing. A big question mark how this company got CMM level 5....... Dream company for Fire-Fighters.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. It is unfortunate that you had to leave us with such an impression of us. I agree that we have some of the best people in the senior management team. There are many other pros of course. However, let me respond to some of the areas that you feel we can do better in. While we do have a culture where we like to work hard, on average we do not have such working hours that you describe in your review. Yes, there may be projects which run into timeline challenges, but this is not the norm. On average (when I look at the data for time spent in office), people are not spending more than 40-50 hours in office. I do believe that in our industry (which is fast paced and ever-changing), we shouldn't measure the health of our employment in 2-3 month intervals. There will always be challenges and tough projects. I believe that we should measure this health over 1-2 year periods. Your experience with us was poor, and I am sorry for that. But once again, that is not the norm. I wish you had given us more time. The percentage of our "homegrown" managers is really low. Over 50% of the people in Nagarro are less than 5 years old in the company. We recognize that if we are to grow and do bigger things, we need help from people who have done this - and hence we recruit heavily at senior levels from outside. We are on our way to be something special and big. And yes, for this we have to restructure our processes and reinvent ourselves (as you suggest) - and we are doing that. We do want to make life easier for all. Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. It does help us.

Hello. Thank you for taking time out to provide feedback for Nagarro. I am saddened to see that you are having such a poor experience during your time at Nagarro. I would like the chance to assure you that what you are experiencing is definitely not the norm. First of all, I would like to say that there is no favoritism, towards old or new. If you feel this is the case in anything that you are observing, I encourage you to talk to HR or senior management. I assure you that HR is not in the business of increasing the problems for the employee. Instead, HR is there to help and ensure that employees are well taken care of. So, you should feel encouraged to talk to them for any issues that you are facing. With regards to lack of openness, I concede that we have some systems and processes which are still maturing in terms of how they should be in my opinion. At the same time, lack of openness doesn't imply that there is anything fishy going on. If you feel that you need more information on any topic, please feel free to ask. And if you don't get a satisfactory response, escalate. I agree with your advice to management. We need to work harder towards processes which are transparent (more and more of them are, but we can do better). And while I agree that there should be no false commitments (absolutely!), I don't think we make any (if you have such a case, I request that you escalate to management or HR). With regards to mapping skills to projects, we do, of course. Are we able to do this 100% of the time? No. Is there a case where employees never get to work on things that they are most skillful in? Absolutely not (it won't make sense). In any case, thank you for your feedback. It helps. I encourage you to feel free to interact with folks in the management team. There is much more to Nagarro than what you have observed (and most of it is really good).

Thank you for spending the time to write a review for us on Glassdoor. Let me quickly address the one con that you have described. The Work From Home policy is based on the approval of the project leadership for your project - as they are in the best position to decide whether someone can work effectively from a remote location. This typically varies from project to project, phase of the project, role of the individual, and other factors. These variables may make it seem that is a biased policy, but it is not (or not intended to be). In general, we think people should work from the office. Having said this, if you still feel that there is something that you find amiss with the policy, you are welcome to talk to me or anyone else in HR - and we can look at it. Once again, thank you for taking the time for your review.
