Pros

GMAC used to be a great place to work---there are some great employees there and I have made good friends

Cons

Management doesn't care about employees at all- the work load has doubled over past 2 yrs since the latest new owners took over - no raises or bonuses for several years -they are laying off hundreds of employees that have 15-20 years of service located all over the country and opening a new office in Cleveland and hiring new employees there- a terrible environment- low morale--run for your life if you are considering working for this company

Pros

GMAC is a corporate name that should be a legacy. Name recognition attracts customers which makes selling a little easier. The location, while diffiicult to reach in downtown Cleveland, is still nicely furnished. Efforts being made [to look like] modern call center facilities are under construction.

Cons

With each passing day, I noticed that what was promised was not only undelivered, it would never be realized. Parking in Cleveland is expensive. Passed were distributed after 8 weeks. Management/ ownership pulled salaries from Sales agents immediately placing agents on full commission AFTER offers of salary and benefits were were made AND accepted. ALL health benefits were pulled. This associate was never given feedback or guidance following 7 weeks of long days and nasty commuting. Instead, my final meeting was complete with unfounded allegations - we call lies; fabrications and here-say. I was escorted from the office mid-day with no indication of unsatisfactory performance. This IS Ohio, after all.
