Pros

Laid back workplace and tasks are easy. Good benefits-medical, dental, 401K, and vacation.

Cons

Incompetent leadership. Nothing is merit-based where promotions/bonuses are strictly dependent on who you friend with. Unless you have extraordinary skills in brown nosing, you are left with mediocre work responsibilities and NO career growth. And contrary to the common belief that the utility industry is synonymous with job security, there has been at least 1 massive layoffs each year since 2016. Not worth the stress.

Pros

You have a job. Permanent until you get fired or laid off for any damn reason. Benefits (working anywhere between 50 - 70 hours per week with no extra pay)

Cons

Complete chaos and mismanagement. No structure. Ample favoritism and constant backstabbing. They will cheat you and lie to you on your face. I would suggest staying away from this organization. Constant pressure and fire drills caused by lack of senior leadership and management changes will take the fun away from your life.

Pros

There is potential to make money if you put in the hours. There are some great people that work for the company.

Cons

Completely unorganized! Upper management creates pilot programs to “help” only they have absolutely no idea what the representative nor the customer needs. The priorities of management are how the department looks on paper, which unfortunately go ahead of the individual employees or even the customer. Also, seems the employees that work hard and go above and beyond go completely unnoticed. The union also is pretty much nonexistent! There are absolutely no checks and balances here ! Also, the training and communication is pretty much nonexistent! If you don’t have the drive to teach yourself, expect to be completely unprepared for your job. The way customer service is run seems they are aware it’s a stepping stone, with absolutely no regard for “first call resolution” that the company preaches.
