Pros

The environment is lax and casual.

Cons

I see some individuals who are not pulling their share of work, and it is regarded as the norm. It is unfortunate that they cannot be fired because they are in the union.

Pros

In such a big company there are a lot of opportunities to get involved with different assignments and learn new skills as long as you are self-motivated.

Cons

There seems to be a culture of mediocrity without much incentive to exceed expectations. Long time employees are focused on resisting change while younger employees are expected to fall in line.
