Double Standard

Business Outlook

Pros

Fun Flexibility Freedom Work-life balance (but in the border line to not so work-life balance)

Cons

(1) You must be prepared to report to a hundred bosses besides reporting to your OWN DIRECT boss (yes apparently the Hungarians love to think they are bosses to everyone). You life if guaranteed to be miserable. (2) Absolutely obvious appearance of double standard. Recently the company is going through a serious budget cut globally and yet they are sending so many visitors over to the Penang plant for "knowledge transfer" or "for start up". When the whites are traveling here and there and everywhere - the budget cut issue seem to be hidden but it's a big fuss when the local intends to travel to Hungary or Austin for REAL GENUINE PURPOSE of "knowledge transfer". (3) This company is always boasting about equality within the organization and its people but really, the word "equality" does not exist here! DO NOT BE TRICKED! Upper management always receives more benefits than others do and so much of favoritism here! Hence no equal opportunity as claimed and if you start at the bottom - you'll always remain there (unless you stay in the company until retirement age). (4) You will always hear especially from Interns that working here is the awesome-mest thing ever but honestly, they have not been here long enough yet! Three months of internship doesn't tell you everything especially those hidden ones. So don't listen to them! They are just young and naive. (5) If you notice, HR department folks are always wondering around but is taking so long to response to email queries/employees' feedback. Maybe you should stop walking around people's cube too much and focus on your work. (6) Simply no chance to grow. (7) Poor benefits! No car loan/house loan. Poor dental benefits :How can I "repair" my teeth with MYR200?

Pros

Flexi hour. Company paying full amount of insurance premium.

Cons

Spending so much money on expats for NI Penang. Pay stagnant, benefit limited. Lack of RSU. No OT for engineers. Overall so-called "consensus" culture is always being used by management as excuse in order not to make clear decision, and also being used to avoid responsibility.

Pros

* Superb working environment * Very flexible working hour * Creativity flies in this company, the management let you mold your working environment * Full of activities and sports * Funny & Friendly managers * I love how the management give their employee the freedom to organize events, come out with ideas and execute them.

Cons

* Under-market wages * Limited career growth from middle level onward. Years of service is the key measurement * Some favoritism in the office * Feed backs are mostly collected from one source rather than multiple sources * Austin's management spend little effort in understanding the Penang's IT team situation. * Complains are taken care in a way that "Who voice it up first, who's the person speaking the truth"
