Pros

Great culture. There is a genuine interest in the development of employees and a focus on the community where we work and do business. There are a lot of "benefits" outside of the typical benefit package (i.e. tuition opportunities, onsite gym and wellness programs, flexible leave, volunteer time, etc.)

Cons

There's an interest in development, but not a lot of opportunity for development. Job structures are rigid and job ladders end early. Compensation is on low side of average. Traditional benefit package (i.e. medical) is expensive and poor quality.

Pros

National Life Group has a very positive and productive culture that is focused on servant leadership, attracting top talent, keeping our promises to policyholders, maintaining strong relationships with our buying and selling customers, and living our simple but powerful values of “Do Good, Be Good, Make Good.” This culture has propelled National Life Group to reinvent itself during the past ten years and become the fastest-growing life insurer in the U.S., while maintaining solid earnings and a very strong balance sheet, capital position and financial strength ratings.

Cons

No serious cons. As you'd expect at a growth company, the environment is dynamic and fast-paced, so you must embrace learning and converting learning to performance - no room for complacency.
