Pros

Great culture, decent work life balance, and management is very supportive of you. If you are vocal, you can take on projects that you find interesting. Hard work is rewarded.

Cons

Montpelier as a location is a little isolated, and it can get very lonely as a young adult. The YPN (Young Professionals Network) was recently created and is gaining momentum, though it can still be difficult to find a social life. You will need to actively search for things to do and places to meet people living in Vermont.

Great Company To Work For

Pros

I really enjoy working for National Life because the company has created a great culture. The company encourages the employees to give back to there community by volunteering which I think is really cool. The company is also very open to hearing new ideas at all levels. Also the company encourages the employees to better themselves by further education. There is a great sense of community within the company.

Cons

The systems that are used are either not finished products or outdated. It becomes frustrating when there is a technical issue outside of your control.
