Great place to start a career

Pros

Great facilities and perks. Pay, vacation and benefits are pretty good. Work is generally not overly taxing or difficult. Great place for a young employee looking to get some corporate experience.

Cons

No chance for advancement unless you are close friends of a VP. Favoritism and friendship ties mean much more than actual performance. The best leaders either leave or are let go, those that stay are in way over their abilities. There is a great deal of "looking out for me", and not much customer focus.

Poor management staff ruins a great place to work

Pros

The actual non management staff are great- most are easy to work with and go the extra mile when needed. The benefits are great.

Cons

Some people whom the company has chosen for management positions are not good at managing projects or people. The company is currently going through another strategic change in the very near future. There are too many managers currently working here. Unfortunately due to a hiring freeze, there is no way to bring on better talent and get rid of the poor managers.
