Pros

Get very good time off compared to the private sector. 8 hour days, get paid for overtime if necessary. No work taken home.

Cons

The people. Unethical behavior by people in leadership. A culture of I can do it better, everyone else here is an idiot. People will absolutely give you a bad reference to prevent you from getting a job you want - no fear of a lawsuit.
