Pros

Talented people to work wit; with an in-house school and money for outside classes - lots of opportunities to get better at what you do. No need to change jobs to get a promotion or a raise. Lots of opportunity to travel if you like that. No need (and no ability) to check email or phone for messages on your off-time. Internal intranet and collaboration tools are a life-saver in getting things done.

Cons

It's a big place, working on teams helps, but there is a lot to learn about how the place works.

Pros

Work with the brightest people the country has to offer! Patriots and developers alike. Mission focused.

Cons

Some not so bright! All the tallest of govt work are true. Beware some offices
