Good Systems and technology, organization is doing the right things the principled way

Co-workers supportive and helpful when they can be found or accessed.

Cons

Employment treated more as legal language and contractual, pay frequently late. Classifications of level of instructor status toggles year over year which affects monthly pay by as much as 10%

Pros

It is a job and a paycheck. Many of the students are goal oriented and want to get their degree. They can be great to work with. Many colleagues are friendly and competent. Paid Winter Break between Christmas Eve and New Years Day.

Cons

Salary. It isn't even comparable with other institutions it is so low. No pay raises or minimal pay raises (1% a year). Don't hire from outside and those inside don't have the experience or knowledge for leadership or management. No recognition for successfully doing your job. Constant criticism from management when the true problem is they refuse to hire enough people to do the job.

They like to promote from within; great pay; lots of days off; good hours; non profit; large company with steady growth so you are protected from recessions.

Cons

The only thing I could think of as a negative would be the starting pay is extremely low compared to other Universities
