Very Top Heavy Company

Pros

Many roles are very flexible with good work life balance

Cons

Promotions are based on who you know and can be tough to come by. It’s often easier to leave the company and come back to climb the corporate ladder.

Pros

Steady job, most coworkers are nice

Cons

Medical benefits are embarrassing, high deductible plans that you pay a lot for; pay is low and there is NO opportunity to advance, despite what they tell you. Current new management has favorites and shuns those who don't agree with their every decision. Bonuses for the area legal field are extremely low. Flexibility is a myth.

It’s really gone downhill fast.

Pros

The people you work with are pretty great. Pay is pretty even with the rest of the industry. Decent vacation benefits.

Cons

Really everything else. Overworked, over stressed, taking time off makes it worse so no one takes vacation, people call in constantly due extreme stress, the changing of technology (Nationwide is several years behind the curve and is scrambling to upgrade) is hugely expensive and thus causes them to basically not hire any help. Ever.
