      Fantastic Opportunities at a Growing Company

      Pros

      Growing company that is always looking for ways to make itself better. Excellent management and as it is only a few hundred employees, there are opportunities to quickly grow your career and pick up a lot of knowledge in a short amount of time. Really trusts its employees to do great work.

      Cons

      The downside to being a small company: career track can feel a bit linear, although as it grows, more possibilities open up.

      I loved working for Nature's Way when it was located in Springville, UT. It is now known as Schwabe North America.

      Pros

      Schwabe North America is located in Green Bay WI so I do not have current info but back in the day, it was a family-friendly, forward-thinking company that focused on quality products and employee development.

      Cons

      During the transition of moving Nature's Way to the Green Bay facility, I had the opportunity to work with many of the people in the Green Bay location. Based on my experiences, it seemed that the Greed Bay staff did not have the same family-friendly, employee development focus that existed in the Nature's Way plant. I hope that things have changed since then and that the company has adopted a greater appreciation for their employees and have invested in employee development programs.

      Pros

      There are decent benefits and the company does fun things occasionally like a quarterly activity (usually a movie or play). They offer full medical, dental and vision and mach up to 6% plus profit sharing into your 401k. Putting in extra time on a salary position is rarely expected.

      Cons

      I don't know about the company's pay standards in general, but I've been underpaid here for someone in my field with my experience. I think I could have negotiated more and I wish now that I had. One thing to be aware of is that cost of living raises are rare, so negotiate high before accepting a job here. There is also little opportunity for advancement here and the corporate politics are a bit heavy.
