Pros

Depending on the technical division you work in, there's a lot of job satisfaction (you get to see the products you work on). Raises are also consistent and fair.

Cons

Once you hit control point, you essentially have to apply to an external division or wait for someone to retire to apply. not a huge gripe, but there's essentially a soft ceiling.

Prime location, plenty of high visibility projects, ability to see and influence global outcomes, good abundance of high grade positions.

Cons

Management culture is not skilled and closed-minded, does not listen, poorly balances workload, is distant and passive in the face of significant institutional problems, does not hold incompetent individuals accountable, non-existent recruiting process, over-reliance on bureaucratic solutions.
