Pros
The work is incredibly easy leading to an unbeatable work/life balance. Doing the bare minimum is overachieving, so it's very easy to stand out and move up. Having basic qualifications and knowledge or expertise will give you a leg up on all you co workers.
Cons
Your boss will likely be some lifelong navy -> GS employee who frankly is collecting a paycheck and is plugged into the Government Welfare life support system known as NAVSEA. Do you want to develop anything meaningful or innovative? Do not work here. Do you want your boss to be connected and help you get ahead in life? Do not work here. Do you want a basic level of job satisfaction from knowing you have an impact and that your work is changing things in a posative way? Then don't work here.
