Unsupportive and deceptive.

Pros

The projects are interesting and varied.

Cons

The organization uses "next-fire", knee-jerk, and lets throw something at the wall and see what sticks leadership. Leadership places all of the risk on the workers, and accepts none of the risk themselves. Policies change hourly to fit mitigate management risk.

Pros

You are responsible for all operations in Nuclear Reactors on board US Naval war ships. Your office is in the control room of nuclear reactors.

Cons

You are expected to be the best, but you will only get paid average. Overtime work is significant (nights and weekends) and often last minute. Your everyday task will be to get the unwilling, to do the unwanted, for the ungrateful.

Stable, non-challenging work, hindered by government nature.

Pros

- Work is not very demanding, neither is management - Low-stress environment, good atmosphere - Timely raises - Flexible Hours

Cons

Technology is moving faster than we can keep up. In some cases we're even moving backwards. - The mobile revolution is being completely ignored. Cell phones are prohibited inside the workplace for security reasons (cameras). - Flash drives and external storage are prohibited for security reasons. We're still forced to transfer things by CD/DVD. Quick to instate blanket restrictions that impact innovation and productivity without solving any problems. Strict hierarchical military structure ensures no improvements will be made without 2 years of back and forth and a congressional action.
