Pros

At Stauer I meet and serve patrons preparing for joyous occasions such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, to name a few. The work environment is friendly and I'm compensated very well for my contributions toward the achievement of our mission.

Cons

The big downside is that we are mortal beings and every now and then one of my clients or a family member passes away.

Pros

I have been very happy with my career as a sales rep with Stauer. Its a job where you succeed by making our clients happy. They provide excellent training and eventually the opportunity to work remote. The fellow salespeople are helpful and want you to succeed as well. Its a small privately owned company with the big company feel and benefits

Cons

You have to be a self-starter and willing to learn the industry. They will provide and pay for your GIA certification but you have to be teacheable and willing to learn.

Pros

The one pro that goes with working at Stauer would be the employees and the teamwork that make it at times a fun and enjoyable place to work. Everyone is hard working and puts in the extra effort and time to make this a successful company.

Cons

Employees have their job responsibilities changed once they are hired. There is a practice of redistributing job duties after someone leaves, is fired or laid off by giving those job duties to the remaining employees. The president doesn't recognize and appreciate the long hours and multiple job roles that the employees have taken on without complaint. Which has lead to low morale and a depressing work environment. There is also a policy in place that there is no vacation to be taken from the end of September to Christmas. While you can take vacation from January to September you have to double-up on your already heavy workload to be able to take a few days off. It also takes a toll on your team as they have to do double duty while you are on vacation.
