Code of Values? Pfffffft.

Pros

I had a full time job.

Cons

Too many chiefs, which then leads to too many layers of bureaucracy. You're given a project and then consistently micro-managed until it's not even your project anymore. And the code of values is a joke. It's merely an item on every meeting agenda, and $50 to memorize it is hysterical. It's only a franchise sales and advertising tactic. They're systematically dumbing down everything good in any of their brands for the sake of sameness and EBITA. EBITA, EBITA, EBITA. It doesn't matter what's good for the franchisees (although that's part of the COV), it only matters if it's good for them and PTN. PTN is supposedly how they vet and manage vendors, however, the 'rebate' the franchisees get is split with PTN. That means that in order to offer said rebate, the price has to go up. Franchisees aren't stupid. PTN is a profit center for Neighborly and that means they're profiting off the backs of their franchisees (aside from royalties). Nice, huh? Calling yourselves 'Employer of Choice' doesn't make it true. Neighborly tore apart our culture until we sat in our offices all day on video calls with people in the offices right next to us.

Beware owning a Neighborly Franchise

Pros

They are great at cheerleading and the time share style sales pitch

Cons

The fees and the cost of the licensing will wipe out any resemblance of a profit margin. Also, they dont tell you that if you want to sell your franchise, it will be worth very little. Finally, they lock you in for a decade and will litigate you to death for future royalties if you fail and shut down.
