Pros
- People genuinely enjoy each other and make every day unique and fun. The culture is 100% real.
- Interesting work with some really smart people.
- Big resources from a strong parent company, with the scrappy startup feel.
- The work that we do genuinely helps people who are looking for a home loan and may not have the credit or funds to qualify for a traditional loan product. NB does a lot to care for the community as well.
- Pay is strong and there are a lot of "fun" benefits (company functions, summer groups, giveaways, games, etc.)
- Fully embrace the flexibility and trust that remote work should provide.
Cons
- Remote work definitely isn't for everyone (though this is a GREAT place if you're looking for it).
- Growing pains that come with branching off from a parent company.
- A lot of processes and ways of doing business are rooted deep in the ways of the parent company. There is some pushback to any change from this.
