Undervalued employees

Pros

Learned protein purification and chromatography techniques. It was decent experience for a first job out of college, but I know my degree fetches a much higher price. Do some research to determine how much your degree is worth before applying here.

Cons

They treat their employees as expendables. The threshold for getting fired is quite low. They undervalue their employees and pay half of what they should be making. At my salary, I couldn't afford a car payment and student loans and was losing money.

Pros

You do learn a lot about animal genomics and the overall field from working here.

Cons

-Lots of overtime (not forced, but essentially forced through peer pressure -Horrible low wages--barely above what a Walmart worker makes for people with degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, etc. -Poor management -Felt like you did not matter to the company, therefore turnover was extremely high.
