Pros

If your into challenges and lot's of hard work it's a great place to be. There are perks if you have the time for them.

Cons

Far too little is done to manage workload. Lots of training is offered within however most of it is rather lack luster.

Pros

Beer on fridays. Steady hours.

Cons

Lack of proper training and preparation to support their products. Favoritism, isolation, micromanagement, lack of technical experience within management. Weak internal interaction. Customers are constantly lied to and not supported properly. Netapp makes promises to customers and employees just to make the Fortune and top 100 companies to work for. Employees with lack of storage experienced are hired and told that they would be trained and mentored properly but infact they get thrown on the telephones to answer high end deep knowledge questions where in many cases the customers know more and are told to lie to the customers so they are satisfied with whatever answers are provided until the case is closed or customer is temporarily satisfied.

Pros

The company is big enough to be able to provide excellent benefits and working environment, yet the organisation of the company allows engineers at the coal-face to be feel like, they can really influence the direction of products and hance have a positive impact on the company as a whole.

Cons

There is so much work to do, and the calibre of engineers so high that it can sometimes be a little overwhelming. Everyone I know works incredibly hard, and puts in a lot of extra hours. As with any company the size of NetApp (around 4500 employees) it can be frustrating when colleagues are in other timezones or countries.
