Stuck in the past

Pros

There is a strong tech in Quid. Not so much in NetBase, which is only doing well because it is one of the elder statesmen of the industry.

Cons

There is an incredible amount of favoritism for tenured people, whether they're right or not. Their benefits are stuck in the past, with PTO and sick coming from the same pool of 15 days and no chance to earn more. Retirement match is really sad as well. Their claim of transparency is just that, a claim. The layoffs that occurred in February came without warning and was handled poorly, both by lack of support for the people laid off and letting people who remained know what was going on.

Pros

NetBase Quid is run efficiently and the product is always getting updated. The overall vision of the company is to be a leader YoY in the social media listening space. Leadership has the tenure and experience to utilize relationships to help grow current clients and new business. The management program is something NBQ takes very seriously but it doesn’t really matter because there are only so many “management positions” in the company with how it’s set up operationally. You get to work with some very large brands and agencies but the egos do come with that, as well.

Cons

When NetBase acquired Quid, they company has seen a significant drop in employees staying from the Quid team. Very different companies and employees reflect that internally. The Rival IQ acquisition was thought to help differentiate their offering but it just made NetBase Quid that much closer to Sprinklr. **Important - the HR team here is extremely understaffed and there is no presence of them beyond enrollment day. If you have a question or need assistance with something, don’t expect a response. Onboarding was very subpar and it’s only gotten worse since employees have left. The culture is talked about as being great but there’s nothing ever done beyond work for employees to feel they are apart of something. You will feel like you are working in a silo, don’t expect much communication amongst your team. Lack of work life balance is very poor here, as you are expected to constantly work beyond normal hours 3-4 days a week. The benefits and pay are average and could be much better. Commission plan needs to be improved, as well. Longterm growth is starting to fade here with the offering not being very unique to its competitors.

Pros

Some of the best talent I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

Cons

New CEO and company restructuring resulted in mass layoffs that leave the company on shaky ground.
